Licosia is the publishing house of Stroncature, an independent Italian platform for scientific dissemination. Since 2015 we have published research monographs and scholarly essays from Ogliastro Cilento, in southern Italy — and we make sure they do not stay on the shelf.
Every Licosia book is a platform: it is presented and discussed on Stroncature, whose community counts more than 1,500 recorded presentations and debates, 11 million views and 200,000+ newsletter subscribers.
Our catalogue of 120+ titles is organised in series (collane), each led by a scientific director with a scientific committee of scholars from Italian and international universities. Manuscripts are evaluated through double-blind peer review governed by the series’ scientific board — not by the publisher. Every title carries an ISBN; new publications receive a DOI; our publication ethics follow COPE guidelines.
