We believe economic transparency is part of scientific quality — so we state our model openly, as the best university presses do.

How publication is funded

Scholarly publishing has real costs (review management, editing, layout, ISBN/DOI, distribution, promotion) that sales of specialist works rarely cover. As in international practice, publication may be supported by research or institutional funds, project grants, and possibly a publication fee (for Open Access, a Book Processing Charge).

Our rules

• Evaluation is free. Nothing is charged for submitting a proposal or for peer review.
• Fees never influence decisions. Economic terms are discussed only after a positive review; a fee cannot buy publication.
• Clear quotations. Written estimates state exactly what is included.
• No compulsory copy purchase. Ever.
• Institutional invoicing to departments, universities or funding bodies on request.
