Licosia publishes research monographs and scholarly essays in series with a scientific director and committee. The evaluation of your work belongs to scholars, and your book will not end its life in a warehouse: it enters the Stroncature circuit — presentation, debate, community.

The path, step by step

• Proposal. Send a provisional title, abstract, table of contents and a note on the work through our proposal form (you may write in English). Evaluation is free of charge.
• Series assignment. The editorial team identifies the most suitable series and forwards the proposal to its scientific director.
• Peer review. Double-blind review with qualified external referees, governed by the series board. Four possible outcomes, always with written motivations.
• Contract and production. Editorial terms — formats, Open Access options, any publication fee — are discussed only after a positive review. Editing, layout, cover, ISBN and DOI.
• Publication and distribution. Online stores (Amazon), academic channels (Torrossa) and university libraries; Open Access titles are deposited in dedicated repositories.
• Valorisation. Video presentation on Stroncature, newsletter coverage (200,000+ subscribers), discussions around the book.

What you receive as an author

A series with a public scientific board; documented peer review with a certification usable for Italian ASN procedures and IRIS deposit; ISBN (and DOI for new titles); distribution and genuine promotion within a national and European research-valorisation circuit.
