Publication ethics

Licosia adopts a publication ethics code inspired by the COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines, defining the duties of everyone involved.

The publisher

• Keeps scientific evaluation independent from commercial interests.
• Guarantees confidentiality of manuscripts and anonymity of review.
• Handles plagiarism, conflicts of interest, errors and complaints through defined procedures.

Series directors

• Evaluate manuscripts solely on scholarly content, without discrimination.
• Do not use unpublished material without consent and abstain in case of conflict of interest.

Referees

• Review objectively, with motivated judgements, treating manuscripts as confidential documents.
• Point out relevant missing citations and any similarity with published work.

Authors

• Guarantee originality and correct citation of sources; declare funding and conflicts of interest; correct significant errors promptly.

Manuscripts may be screened with anti-plagiarism tools. Established violations lead to rejection or retraction.
